Just a thought about last nights post, 'License to Fly,' I made some comments at the end about Abagail spreading those wings of hers, and perhaps experiencing life in another dimension with more avenues and opportunities available than say a few years ago, when I was her age. But, you know times were different, parents were different, I guess, some parents were different, whatever, but don't doubt for one split witch hair we didn't have fun and love life when we could.
As a matter of fact, what a coincidence, my niece called Abagail tonight, to go to a school dance, yaya, did that bring back memories! Not so long ago, Jemini, the striking red head, and I, the blonde, would love to go to the high school dances, of course we were in high school, what you think we are weirdo's? But yes, we were a bit different, I suppose it was our look. Or was it our kiss. I remember, sneaking a kiss on the dance floor, yaya, now, that was a kiss. We were good witches, just kisses, OK, maybe we made out sometimes, but that was it. At one of the dances, Jemini and I, both met guys named 'Bob.' The next day, three Bob's showed up at our door. Our mom was so surprised, 'girls, you have visitors.' As they introduced themselves to our matriarch, 'nice to meet you,' 'a pleasure,' 'thanks for inviting us in,' 'I'm Bob,' 'I'm Bob,' 'I'm Bob.' My mom just giggled, 'at least, I won't forget any one's name.' I'm not sure, how we ended up with the third, I bet we were so tantalizing, they brought along Bob #3 in case we had another sister, and of course we did!
Those kisses had them coming back for more, thinking back, I don't know how the even found us, we had never seen those guys before. Where there is a will, there is a way. My mom still giggles and so do we every time this story comes back, 'Bob, Bob, and Bob.' So maybe Jemini and I didn't get to explore the brave new world, but we definitely made our mark, those we meet along the way remember us in their hearts, and maybe on their lips. A lasting impression, that never gives up.
And I'm happy right here, for now...And you?
