When you have someone you love not feeling well, what do you do? Try to help, of course. What if they are really sick, and end up in the hospital? Whoa, that starts some serious business, mom says, beyond the spells and potions, but not beyond the prayers and higher powers, and I say that includes your sisters, brothers, and anyone else with the power and the connection so tight to heal, doctors, those with sweet, kind, patient bedside manners, so included, beats the old medicine man. Exactly the situation a little bit ago, and now what would you bring the individual to relieve them, aid them, make them smile, dare I say, lift their spirit? Yaya, goodies are terrific for the friends and family visiting, but the patient, is not craving truffles and finger licking, Italian cookies, please make sure the Purel is handy. In this case, when my dear sister opened her eyes, I wanted her to see an item, that would confirm in her mind, that I was there, as well as everyone else, the clan, something that would give her a boost, a kick of energy, no, no quick exits, but with a snap and a twitch, her sisterhood will be at the window, at her beckon call. Yaya, I brought a broom to the hospital.
It was a bit odd, and curious, walking in the facility with the said broom, it is not your standard sweeper. Those aware of exactly what it was, said nothing. The innocent, questioned it. To witch my wonderful, and inquisitive my mom, fluffed, 'the girls have something going on, it's a sister thing.' Yaya, isn't that a great answer, and those without a sister, stated, sorely, 'I, don't have a sister,' truly missing out in one of life's great gifts, hey there are brothers, best friends, cousins…, sometimes, you forget to count. And to those who just sat, looked, said nothing, but were dying to ask, you are probably reading this right now, trying to still figure this all out, no worries, I won't tell. Next time, ask, no big deal, get over it.
Fortunately, the powers were of course on her side, the professionals performed they're ultimate best, and with family and friends aligned she came through with a positive diagnosis, although a bit uncomfortable, she will be fine, with the needed rest and care. Hummm, rest can almost be the hard part, achieving the needed rest without feeling guilty. Those three words again, 'get over it,' you're grounded for now, so take advantage of it, snap, twitch, call…remember we're here. So for now its positive thinking, great group support builds optimism, and you'll be back on that broom in no time. Did Jemini tell you that is her pick for 2012 Supercharge? Love you girl...
I live in N.Y. and I am a witch, and I have four sisters that are witches. Now don't get all spooked out about this, we are really friendly, nice girls. We do not cast spells on people carelessly, we offer friendly advice when asked. This blog is about our days and we want to hear about yours. We will offer advice and our wisdom on a range of subjects. I hope you enjoy it. I believe anyone can be a witch.

Count Your Blessings; Potion Glass is Half Full
Well, well, well are you up from the table, or have you committed one of the seven deadly sins? Gluttony, this holiday? Thanksgiving still holds first place, the day we eat the most, or should I say 'gorge' ourselves, with Superbowl Sunday running a close second, yaya, pretty sad. Stuffing ourselves, like that plump bird on the table, somehow being thankful for what was it? Now dearie, this happens to be a terrific day, no gift giving, except for maybe Larabee, a great meal, a four day weekend, and a day that really gives back. Well, sort of, it makes us slow down, look around that table, even if there are just two of you sitting there, make a mental list of all, yaya, I'm going to say it again, you are "thankful for".
We have to count our blessings, and be appreciative of all we have, the alternative is to continue to feel sorry for ourselves, and blame others for what we don't have, that's a martyr, if you ask me, no room for them at the table, sorry. If you are looking for perfection, you are missing the point, families aren't perfect, and neither are you. This year, stop and think about the families that are coming together for Thanksgiving with family members missing, families divided, or those out of work, maybe not preparing favorite recipes, not able to give more, but still together, sharing, a day they will still remember. The last Thursday in November will always be Thanksgiving, no twisting and turning, no magic, I will always be thankful for my family, my daughter, my sisters, and you my dear followers, yaya for sure, wherever we may be, a broom ride away, a snap, a twitch, I'll try to skip the gluttony, except when it comes to extreme desserts, but even that I'd love to share with any one of you. I hope your Thanksgiving was sweet, peaceful, and magical, I am thankful to be right here, and I hope you are there….never far.

11/11/11 Numerology
Today is Veterans Day, pretty amazing, 11/11/11, lining up the numbers, and at 11:11 this morning and again tonight, marks moments that will not happen for another one hundred years, whoa! To all the Vets being honored today, take notice, I hope if you saw a Veteran today, you said, "Thank you." Today is the day we honor veterans, our military members, their spouses, children, parents, and grandparents for the sacrifices they have made, Memorial Day honors those who have lost their lives fighting for our country.
However, the numbers today, all those 'ones,' made it a bit magical. Numerology, speaking 'eleven' is a Master number. It represents intuition, patience, honesty, idealism, and yaya, spirituality. Of course, ten is perfection, but eleven is one better. It is vibration. Peeps born today can be idealistic, interesting, and possess magnetic personalities, however they can have negative traits like everyone else, a bit sarcastic and temperamental, hey nobodies perfect these days, well except for you know who. Yaya, eleven is a beginning, an opening. Since there are three, elevens, (11/11/11) it is like three openings, or your three wishes, with your own magic carpet to boot, really powerful. Or remember the game show "Let's Make A Deal?" with Monty Hall, but you don't need a costume, you can wear your own witch or warlock attire, bring your bag of tricks, and now you get all three doors! Three wishes, three doors, no drama, no questions, believe in yourself, its time to open that first door, you can. Sort of like the crescent moon, only better, and last night and tonight the moon is full and lighting up the sky, its just beautiful out. So I hope you made your three wishes today at 11:11 in the morning or tonight, spent some time with someone you care about, and perhaps love, we witnessed a proposal in Rockefeller Center, a gentleman was on the ice and presented a ring to his girlfriend, surrounded by a crowd, yaya, but glory, American Flags waving so proud, statuesque, saluting. So romantic, Abagail and I were almost crying, I know what she was wishing. Take today, as a beginning, go through door number one, see where you are, and have some fun, be brave, what better day? Take the carpet ride, or take the broom, get your ice skates, I'll be out, it's a beautiful night, a few minutes left till the day is over…kick up your heels!
If you missed 11:11, on 11/11/11, it's ok, do it tomorrow, or whenever, I'll give you a free pass. Plan ahead, 12/12/12, next year, 12:12, what a coincidence, huh? Then it will be so over...

Social Networking for Witches?
My mom is so interested in this blog, and is so curious why no one really knows about, so she thinks; and why I'm not so "verbal" about it. I was always the "quiet one," and I see silence not as someone, who has nothing to say, oh how misleading, is that what you're thinking? Silence, yaya, maybe so golden, but it is so observant, so deep, never should be taken for granted, such a major factor of conversation, the art of the conversation, in fact. The sometime 'shy' or quiet individual may seem uninterested but, quite contraire my dear, they are taking in every word, making mental notes, even when you think, perhaps they cannot hear you, trust this witch's insight, they can. Now, there are so many of you out there in the internet twilight, quietly listening, reading, just floating around, yaya, Mom, this is called, "social networking". Sort of that old shampoo commercial, simple, if I tell two friends, then they tell two friends, then they tell two friends, and then they tell two friends, and so on, and so on, and so on, the sight grows and grows and grows.
I have Aunt Adelina, and Jezibel, her sister Lacy, and little Adelina, are you out there? And I cannot forget, their little niece, yaya, the child with the moon in her eyes, my summer buddy. Aunt Adelina, I hope you're feeling better. Mrs. London, Lacy's mother in law, keeping up with all those grandchildren? And then there is Gilda, the great reporter to Angelica, I didn't realize her staff was so extensive, you have to read the posts to my sister? My my…what can I say, the things we do for friends, witches, the extremes…So if this just started with one person telling two friends, sisters, cousins, mothers, brothers, daughters, sons, a witch, a warlock, whatever, I'm not quite sure who told who first, and how it got started, but somehow it did, words do seem to travel fast, coupled with the speed of the internet, and a bit of the twilight zone, I think it's faster than idle gossip, could that be possible? Dalilah? Its social networking, so cool, a lot like magic, and pixie dust without the fuss. So yaya Mom, I really don't have to say anything, word really does get around, I can just sit back and watch, oh I do have to post and keep up to date, no problem I love it. I hope y'all, all my dear followers remember to tell two friends, pass it forward, remember any one can be a witch, you have to believe in yourself first, share what you believe, stay socially connected, and network with friends, family, relations, your sisterhood, and of course, friendly witches like me…hey its kind of amazing that the quiet mouse* has so much to blog about, what about you?
No worries, I'll be networking round the clock and on my broom, stay tuned…

Halloween, So Over...
The day after, ho hum, all over, yaya, we needed the day of rest, totally pooped out, certainly hope you had your share of the holiday, and I do not mean, your share of your children's candy, you need to put that away.
Today, is "The Feast of All Saint's Day," a day to remember all saints, many witch do not have their own name day. Many people visit the cemeteries, lay flowers, or if your like moi, light your candle in honor of your remembrance. I like to think if we remember them, they will always remember us, and they do. It was kind of odd today, I was at the beach and out of no where, the most beautiful butterfly flew by me, I watched it fly by in circles, I think I knew who it was, and why she was keeping an eye on me and who I was with, it gave me a feeling of serenity that will last for a good while. And with that, I am going to say Good Night, and Sweet Dreams…
Never be afraid.
