Believing can be captivating and quite questionable, for children as well as adults. How do we get from point A to point B, did you know I was such a math wizard, yaya, add it to the list. Obviously we can always fly via broom, drive or use public transportation, but it is so much more than that, it is the mental, spiritual, and emotional connection. And it really doesn't matter what you believe in, as long as you keep faith in some power, some superhuman, a creator, a love, a friend, a relative, a colleague, physician, professional, or even Santa Claus. If we learn to trust with our heart, spirit and brain, we can let go, use the strength from the relationship to grow and move from one place to another with ease.
So this Christmas, when those little angels, witches and warlocks ask you about Santa Claus, or even question his magic, don't give up for a blink, snap, or spell, he is as real as magic can be. Trust in you heart, and never, ever, ever, ever, ever stop believing in yourself first, everything you love, and the joy of Christmas. The memories of the Christmas mornings, unwrapping gifts, late night Christmas Eves' waiting up, trying to catch a glimpse of jolly St. Nick or peering out into the dark skies hunting for Rudolph's nose leading the pack, and all the other sweet wonderful thoughts, memories of past Christmas', that is what keeps us believing, and why we want our children to believe. You must believe in Christmas, in Santa, it keeps those memories alive, how could you stop? According to the New York City Post Office, probably, the largest in the world, there was a record number letters mailed to Santa this year. I suppose, peeps really do believe, fantastic, how we can get a grip through old fashioned letters, it should be no surprise Santa does not have a "Face Book" page, even though his sled is equipped with GPS.
So this Christmas, keep those memories close, and the people closer if possible. Tell those kiddies all about Santa, tell them his coming even if they weren't so good, we all have a slip up, now and then. Keep them believing. Hold on to those sisters, believe in each other, and hold on for the ride, tighten up the grip if you have to, we may be in for a bumpy ride, no worries, we can handle it.
Merry Christmas! And yaya, I'm still not finished shopping, stressed to the tip of my broom, but having fun. xoxo
I live in N.Y. and I am a witch, and I have four sisters that are witches. Now don't get all spooked out about this, we are really friendly, nice girls. We do not cast spells on people carelessly, we offer friendly advice when asked. This blog is about our days and we want to hear about yours. We will offer advice and our wisdom on a range of subjects. I hope you enjoy it. I believe anyone can be a witch.

Beginning to Look Like Christmas, Even For A Witch...
It's beginning to feel a bit like Christmas, not to sound cliche, but with the days flying by, winter's chill in the air, the decorations popping up all over, gifts being bought up, Holiday Concerts in the schools, baking at Grammy's, yaya, I'm getting the gitty sense, we will soon be sitting around the table celebrating Christmas Eve to start, and then the rest of the week of parties, festivities, and special events snowballing, if they haven't begun already; I'm sure you're feeling it as well and hope not stressing too much. And for us, 'witches' there is only so much magic we want to throw into the mix, honestly, it is like cheating on Christmas, heaven forbid. Maybe we can use some help in the decorations, and the cooking, the preparations, it cuts down on the stress, but when it comes to shopping we really have to do most of the leg work ourselves, however, there are exceptions, like everything in life. Yaya, the out of stock items, that no one can seem to get, that are only available in Guam, we can get there, or when there is a fight over the last item in the store, somehow, we don't get involved, but we can manage to get it, oops sorry, no hard feelings, huh, manners matter, remember? But we still rack out brains to figure out the perfect gift and then have to find, just like you, hey sometimes with a little help of the Internet, crystal ball and GPS. Somehow in the end, it all gets done, one way or another, our way or yours, none the better, and everyone is happy, we hope, expect, more anticipation, why, we set ourselves up, I have no idea, we do it every time, stressing, we never have enough gifts, we are our own head trips, yaya, watch out; hold on, one second I have to catch my breathe, whoa…, next move, witch way, witch store, is it me, or what?
I love the way the holidays bring us together, first it's all cute, red, green, elves, Santa, reindeer, cute sales guy at Saks, helpful sales peeps, then witches crap breaks lose, the stress is back. We feel the pressure of all the planning, the shopping, the organizing, the lines, the here, the now, as the day grows near, tension begins to build, what was supposed to be pleasurable is becoming dreadful. We started going out shopping all dressed and fresh, and now we are running out in sweat clothes, barely making it back for the school buses, let alone dinner, witch ends up no more than take out, sorry sweetie. The peeps who say they are done shopping, you are dying to give them the evil eye, even weeks before the holy day, please try to refrain yourself. Try to regroup, have a Christmas cookie, a stouffeller from Grammy's, forget the calories, it's so over, count to ten, maybe twenty, take a ride, whistle for that broom, take a stand, stop the snow mobile, get off that escalator, and put the holiday back in perspective. Remember what Christmas is about, it is the art of giving, but from the heart, connecting, being with family, friends and the kiddies, people that matter most, the magic is always there, lots of it. Find it, use it, enjoy your holiday. Do you have a red sweater I can borrow? Only kidding, gag me.
Oh the holidays, yaya, Jemini, oh Joy, it's Christmas! xoxo

Witch Retreat, For A Spell
Why does it seem, no matter how on the ball, or should I say, on the broom we are, some things we are never prepared for? December, to start. We get caught, knocked off our heels, yaya, we rock and roll, even Mom, the most organized person in the world; but sometimes, we have to regroup, secure our footing, even Jemini in those sky high heels, too cool, who needs a broom?. I know its tempting to throw in some extra ingredients, Fiona, I'm watching you; you want to point that finger, yaya, I'm guilty of that myself, they call it my "sword"; and of course you'll want to dart those beautiful eyes, and bat those dark lashes, so mysterious, but ahh, those evil eyes, Angelica; but hold it right there, stop dead in your tracks, do not pull out that magic wand, Larabee, we have to remember what is important, who is important? You. Hold on tight, keep focused, know where you are flying, and keep that hat on straight my dear. Let's all take a deep breathe, count to ten, and start to think about what stressing us out, again. It is Christmas, the holiday season, hold out your hand, hold someones, give them a hug, open your heart, and let it go. Wherever you are, there is a place you can retreat, for a spell. It's paramount that we take care of each other as well as ourselves.
Careful not to overload yourself with nonsensical stress, try Christmas tea with the girls, Fiona's suggestion, I'd much prefer comparing some Christmas recipes, spells, and potions. Whoa, now come on girls, someone grab on to the leader of the pack, yaya Mom, take all those little witches along, and don't forget Dahila. Magic, practice, Christmas, fun, Poof? All in the making of some holiday enjoyment and teaching witches, join along.
However, a bit of quiet time is quite luxurious and a rare commodity these days. Take care, I love you.
