What Every "Witch" Should Know and Do by Fifty

Everyone seems to have heard about the "30 Things Every Woman Should Have and Should Know by the Time She's 30" by Pamela Redmond Satran, yaya, been around as chain letters, floating the Internet and magazines for years, but as we get a tad older some of the info gets less relevant, and there are other items that seem to be perhaps left out. This is by no means a replacement list, maybe an alternative.

1. It's ok to flirt, its good for your self esteem, if your significant other doesn't like it, they'll get over it.
2. Push yourself, go beyond your limit in all facets; scare your panties off.
3. Your bucket list, the time is now, fly that broom, be a Witch!
4. Touch someones life, change it.
5. Be a rebel, for once in your life
6. Admire people, while,
7. Loving yourself
8. Admit, to your mistakes
9. Keep a positive outlook; the present is looking good, the future, bring it on sweetie.
10. Don't worry about your suitcase, or what you're packing, it's where you're going and with who that matters. Forget the umbrella…keratin treatment, honey.
11. All you need is one friend, whether it be me, your mom, a sister, aunt, daughter, cousin, niece,  brother, angel, witch, wife, husband, invisible, god, whoever, someone, you can always count on.
12. Know when no answer is better than the truth. Lying is not an option.
13. If you're not happy, magic doesn't do the trick. Sorry to burst your bubble out there.

Mother's Day, Witch or Not...

Mother's Day, a day to rejoice, a day to honor, a day to remember, a day to embrace, a day to enjoy, don't let it go by, without being thankful for the mom, mother, mama, grandmother, god mother, fairy god mothers, forgotten mothers, mother-in-laws, mother image, aunt, sister, daughter, female, wife, girlfriend, whatever, where would be without them, they have taught us everything we know, well basically, the basics, the most important facts of life, how to live, how to love, how to laugh, how to follow your heart, and how to fly. If you are smart enough to see the cycle of life, the good karma, good genes, too; placing your matriarch on a pedestal now, will come back to you. Look deep into the magic mirror, focus through your moon lit eyes, can you see yourself in the future? One day you will be a mom, if you're not one already, and as much as we may hate to admit it, to a certain degree, we do become our moms, so praise them, it will all come back to you, threefold Law, right here, right, now. Mother Witches know, like everything else, what you put into the spell, life, love, children, determines what you get out, a little extra TLC goes a long, long, long way, even with the toughest, thickest of heads, huh, never give up, it's all in the staying power and determination.

So, treat your mom, grandmother, wife, or whoever today, it's their day, let them shine, as bright as possible. But, one more thing, remember to bless yourself as well, you are the true 'Super Mom' running circles around others, perhaps not getting enough recognition, not that we really need it, oh yaya, we do! Climb yourself right up to that pedestal, and stand tall, wave a great big flag, don't be so shy. We may wear hats on our heads, but today, get out that old tiara my dear, yaya, wear it proudly, you deserve it, Happy Mother's Day! And no worries, goodness always comes back to us, xoxo

Supermoon & Witchcraft 2012

So how was your day? The looney's were out today, did you encounter any body a bit out of the ordinary, peeps acting a tad nutty, peculiar, out of sorts? Yaya, blame it on the moon, the "Supermoon," tonight will be the largest moon of the year, coupled with Cinco de Mayo, a super high tide, a meteor shower of up to sixty shooting stars per hour, can you keep up? Witch is left over from the famed Halley's comet, remember when? Deja Vu...

Where are you tonight? It is going to be quite a night to celebrate. Don't miss it, even if its cloudy, rise above the nights sky and witness the moon, the stars, if that's not an option for you yet, get out to the massive waters, hear the roar, watch and see how far the tide reaches as the moon glistens and glows in reflection providing power to the almighty waters. Take it all in. The power to control natural forces through supernatural forces, hum, that does ring a bell, not a doorbell, sounds like magic, but more like the meaning of witchcraft, coincidence, na, nada, never…Have a wonderful, Supermoon night, happy flying, engage in the power of the evening, and good night!

Witches and Warlocks, Oh My!

There is something very special, yaya, special about witches and warlocks, in case, if you haven't observed by now, we laugh, we love, we cry, on occasion, and we always come back to the same plateau, no airs, our noses may twitch, and how they twitch, but they are never, ever, ever, ever in the air, unless of course we are flying, taking course on our brooms. We are who we are, witches and warlocks, proud, we have been hurt, we have been through the worst situations and the best, we are survivors, we never give up, determined, we stand by each other, we are undoubtedly the greatest back watchers. When we hug, we do not just embrace, no air kisses here, we can feel our souls connecting, our hearts beating in synchrony, true unity, yaya, this is family, blood or not. Remember when? Looking deep in each others eyes, searching for that past moment, memory, connection, being brought to life, no, nada, no flighty, meaningless conversation here, we are so engaged, like a magnetic force, the magic always surrounding us. Time and life may separate us and play their little games. Games can hurt, people get caught up, the gossip, the nonsense, the lies, they forget whats important in life. The fact is, sometimes you are looking for something, you think you have to journey all over the world, and you soon find the realization of stability. I have found that staying put, has brought me back to the simple theory, I need not go elsewhere because elsewhere is here, and everyone. We are all in this together, witches and warlocks, a family not competitive, dealing with simplicity not extremity, quietude over constant nonsensical chatter. It is what keeps us strong.

So turn the music on, let those children dance around, engage in some great conversation about the good old days, with your best witches and warlocks, and try to find somebody wearing a sock with a hole in it…and tell Chick she's ready to be a Witch.
