There’s a fine line the powers of a witch and the powers of
modern mortals. It’s a fine line with a deep gorge on both sides, one that we
witches know how to navigate upon our brooms, but ones others scratch their
heads over, looking for some seemingly logical explanation as to “why” or “how
come”.
And sometimes we witches think we know all the spells and
potions, but then we get short sighted, overlooking the most obvious of
explanations to what ails us.
Modern mortals, especially doctors, when faced with some
mystery of our lives or being, are quick to point a finger in the direction of
things that are causes. Something goes awry and there’s a logical explanation
they think. Deficient in this, overindulging in that, exposure to something, a
freak of nature that causes us to suffer and fall apart.
And while modern medicine is indeed a gift and a life giving
and life saving institution (doctors should be revered, especially the ones
with magic up their sleeves), sometimes there are things no blood test or xray
or special diet or cream or pill can solve, explain or alleviate.
That’s when, as a smart witch, you take a step back, don’t
look at your outward body (because after all that’s just a transient vehicle we
get to ride in when the broom is parked), and look inside. You look into your
heart and see what’s hurting, what’s broken, what needs fixing, what is eating
you.
We, not just witches, have the power to heal ourselves
sometimes. If you stop and shut off the cacophony of life there’s a little
voice. It’s yours. Get acquainted. You likely have never met before. And when
you can finally make out that soft, lilting, melodic voice whispering to you,
you’ll hear the truth. Hear it. Accept it. Own it. It’s yours and yours alone
and no one can take it away. Pull yourself together, ditch the creams and
pills, eat a bagel, have some nuts, coffee with real milk, wine, shellfish…yada
yada . Eat chocolate. Have a pastry, especially Gemini’s favorite kind.
The best advice- whether from a witch (or your best friend,
or your sister, or your biggest cheerleader) is to LISTEN TO YOUR HEART. Bad
things happen when we shut off that little voice inside. Shut off that voice
and your heart is lost, shut off that voice and your soul will die.
Save yourself now before it’s too late. The slippery slope
down is a steep one, and even the best brooms have been known to lose
traction. Hold on. Fly hard and
fast and head to the horizon with your heart leading. The answers, along with
bluer skies, will be waiting. Never fear. You fly high, but there’s a net…even
if you can’t see it.
